Learning to drive is an experience that will change your life forever. Learning to drive a car with an Automatic gearbox is becoming more popular but is also the future of the driving experience.
As more and more electric vehicles join the traditional petrol and diesel cars on the roads of Belfast and Northern Ireland the technology is becoming more and more affordable and once you learn to drive with an Automatic Gearbox you will be able to apply those skills learned well into the years ahead .
You can apply the techniques and skills learned to driving a van, lorry, minibus, etc. etc. Unlike doing your test in an Automatic Vehicle you are not restricted to driving with an Automatic Gearbox. In fact, you can drive both Manual & Automatic with a Manual License. With an Automatic specific license you are limited to Automatic vehicles.
At Austin's School of Motoring we aim to offer the highest level of driving lessons in Belfast and Northern Ireland no matter the vehicle type. Our Driving Instructors are focused on delivering you to the front doors of your local Driving Test Centre as a safe, considered, confident and careful driver now and into the future.
See below for our Automatic Driving Lesson pricing and if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with us.
We will soon be adding automatic driving lessons, vehicles and electric vehicles to our expanding driving lessons offering and our fleet of driving school cars.
(Due to Covid-19 and the ongoing situation, we have, as a precaution, changed our lesson structure to be 90 minutes long.
We ask pupils to come equipped with a Face Mask in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Thank you.)
Our standard 60 minute Automatic driving lessons are available Monday to Friday but are on a very limited, first come, first served basis between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
if you are looking for After-Hours driving lessons these are available Monday to Thursday from 6pm - 8pm.
(Extra pre 9am hours and weekend hours are available upon request.)
We always look at ways to improve your driving lessons experience. Watch this space and our social channels for the latest updates and news on Austin's School of Motoring.

Theory and Hazard Perception testing is now the norm when it comes to getting on the roads.
We have created a partnership with one of the leading Online Theory Test Help systems which will allow you to practice both tests from the comfort of your own home.
Even better, we can help further with our online tutoring via Zoom and walk you through the knowledge we have gained over multiple years of giving Driving Lessons in Belfast and through-out Northern Ireland.
We understand your time is precious.
So is ours, and that is why we have a cancellation policy for all pre-booked driving lessons. This allows us to offer cancelled driving lessons to other pupils who want to learn. As a customer centred driving school this allows us to give advantage to those getting close to their driving test dates or those who really want the extra time behind the wheel to improve their driving skills.
If you wish to cancel or postpone a driving lesson all you have to do is give us a a call.
(We are working hard behind the scenes to give you and online booking system to allow you to do this via your smart device or laptop.)
We have broken this down into 3 easy cancellation criteria.
Please make sure you let us know as soon as possible allowing us work productively with you and other driving lesson pupils and maximise our Driving Instructors schedules.

With the current situation with Test Bookings across Northern Ireland we recommend that everyone wishing to start Driving Lessons make every effort to have their Theory and Hazard Perception test passed before starting to learn how to drive.
At the moment there are approx. 6-8 week delays on test dates for the Theory and Hazard Perception test and a further 4 months wait on a Practical Driving test date.
We understand you will be keen to learn how to drive and we appreciate your enthusiasm very much but we would beg everyone to pass that Theory Test first in advance of starting actual lessons.
